Rare is a libre, multi-platform interface for the Epic Games Store, allowing the installation, uninstallation, and launch of its games - thanks to the Legendary project, a command line interface adding a layer of compatibility with this store. It also allows authentication, Legendary and game settings, ProtonDB search, creation of a desktop shortcut for each game, synchronization of installed games with an existing Epic games installation folder, and synchronization of backups with the cloud. It has a download and queue progress bar and translations.

Rare is a graphical interface for Legendary, a command line alternative to Epic Games launcher, based on PyQt5

Rare est une interface libre et multi-plateforme pour le magasin Epic Games Store, permettant l'installation, la désinstallation, et le lancement de ses jeux - grâce au projet Legendary, une interface en ligne de commande ajoutant une couche de compatibilité avec ce magasin. Il permet aussi l'authentification, le paramétrage de Legendary et des jeux, la recherche sur ProtonDB, la création d'un raccourci sur le bureau pour chaque jeu, la synchronisation de jeux installés avec un dossier d'installation de jeux Epic existant, et la synchronisation des sauvegardes avec le cloud. Il dispose d'une barre de progression du téléchargement et de la file d'attente et de traductions.
